Mecca Masjid, Hyderabad

Known as the largest mosque in India the Mecca Masjid, Hyderabad, Telangana can accommodate over 10,000 people. Located close to the Old City of Hyderabad, the historic mosque is also very close to the monuments and iconic structures such as Charminar, Laad Bazaar and Chowmahalla Palace. Fatehpuri Masjid is yet another important Mosque in Delhi. The mosque is located in Chandni Chowk and opposite the Red Fort. Built in the 17th Century by Fatehpuri Begum one of the wives of Shah Jahan.

There are legends that originally it was established by Malik Bin Dinar, a follower of Prophet Muhammad. During 1813 AD, the British Indian Second Regiment was stationed here.
