Eligibility for the Telangana Housing Scheme

  • The beneficiaries will be selected depending on their overall caste composition, mutually by the concerned district collectors and GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) commissioner.
  • The beneficiary's data will be used to verify applications for 2 BHK allocations, the following documentations are required:

— Address proof in the GHMC area.

— A current Food Security Card inside the GHMC limit.

— The beneficiary's name should be present on the 2018 assembly voter list.

— The address on the Aadhaar card should be inside the municipality or village limit.

  • Applicants who have already been allotted housing from the previous housing schemes like Rural Housing, Urban Housing, Indiramma housing, etc., in the state, will be excluded from this scheme by taking the help of the TSHCL.
  • Applications that have benefited under the GO 58 and GO 59, both dated December 30, 2014, from the Revenue Department, will be excluded from this scheme by taking the help of TSTS.
  • All the projects taken up in Urban Local Bodies must follow the PMAY- HFA (U) [Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- housing for all (urban)] guidelines and all required particulars, as per Form 4B, should be obtained from the beneficiaries.
  • There will be a reserve of 10% or 1,000 units for local beneficiaries, whichever is less as per the assembly constituency, wherever works are taken up outside the GHMC limits. The respective district collectors are responsible for the selection of beneficiaries from each constituency, according to the data available including the in-situ slum inhabitants who were vacated for taking up the 2 BHK works. By the local quota, they must also choose the recipients.
  • The district collectors will be responsible for allocating the units consumed such as flat number, floor number, and block number, to the beneficiaries from various constituencies and the remaining amount must be sent to the sector in charge.
