Upcoming Infrastructure Projects in Hosur

20, December 2025

Hey Guys

We are back with this new blog on the upcoming developments in Hosur, following up on the article we wrote on developments in Attibele.

Since both of them are nearby though in neighbouring states, there are a few developments which might coincide, however these actually spell the infra development and real estate segments of both the places.

For decades, Hosur has quietly played the role of a hardworking industrial town, fueling growth from the sidelines of Tamil Nadu and Bengaluru.

But that narrative is changing fast. With a surge in infrastructure development, Hosur is poised to become one of South India’s most strategic growth corridors. The city’s proximity to Bengaluru, competitive real estate prices, and strong industrial base are now being matched by world-class transport and connectivity projects.

Let’s take a closer look at the upcoming infrastructure that’s setting Hosur on a new path.

Let's explore

Upcoming Infrastructure Developments in Hosur

1. Namma Metro Extension from Bommasandra to Hosur

The biggest game-changer on the horizon is the proposed Bengaluru Metro Yellow Line extension beyond Bommasandra to Hosur. Once operational, this cross-border metro link will make Hosur directly accessible from key areas like Electronic City, Bommanahalli, and Silk Board.

Commuters who once spent hours battling traffic will soon have a fast, seamless transit option between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. This project is expected to not only reduce travel time but also attract residential and commercial investments along the corridor.

2. Elevated Corridor and New Road Infrastructure

The Tamil Nadu government and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) are working on a network of elevated corridors and bypass roads to decongest Hosur’s industrial and residential zones.

The Hosur Elevated Corridor, connecting Attibele and Krishnagiri, will improve freight movement, while the Peripheral Ring Road (PRR) from Bengaluru is set to further enhance connectivity for those commuting between the two cities.

These road developments will support Hosur’s next phase of urbanization by reducing travel time and improving logistics efficiency.

3. SIPCOT Industrial Expansion and Future Mobility Park

The SIPCOT Industrial Area remains the beating heart of Hosur’s economy. With new phases under development and the establishment of Tamil Nadu’s Future Mobility Park, Hosur is quickly becoming a magnet for EV and automotive manufacturing.

The Future Mobility Park will feature R&D zones, testing facilities, and incubation spaces for next-gen mobility startups. Companies in the EV and green tech sectors are already setting up operations here, adding to Hosur’s growing reputation as a manufacturing powerhouse.

4. Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway and Industrial Corridor

Hosur is strategically positioned along the Bengaluru-Chennai Industrial Corridor (BCIC), a mega project backed by the central government. The corridor aims to boost manufacturing and logistics with a high-speed expressway, industrial parks, and smart city-level infrastructure.

The expressway will slash travel time between the two metros from 6 hours to under 4, creating a high-growth belt that passes right through Hosur. For investors, this means one thing - massive appreciation potential for both industrial and residential assets.

5. Proposed Hosur Airport and Improved Rail Network

The Tamil Nadu government has revived discussions around a New Airport in Hosur, focusing on cargo and regional connectivity. This would complement the city’s industrial growth while easing pressure on Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport.

Additionally, plans to upgrade the Bengaluru Hosur railway line to support faster suburban train services are gaining traction.

Once implemented, this will strengthen Hosur’s integration with Bengaluru’s urban ecosystem.

6. Emerging Residential and Social Infrastructure

As industries and investors move in, residential projects, schools, and healthcare centers are mushrooming across Hosur and its peripheries like Attibele, Bagalur, and Thorapalli.

Developers from Bengaluru are actively launching integrated townships and plotted developments, targeting both professionals working in Electronic City and families seeking better space at lower costs.

With improved roads, clean air, and planned layouts, Hosur is evolving into a balanced ecosystem that blends work, life, and leisure.

7. TIDEL Park and Knowledge Corridor in Hosur

TIDEL Park and Knowledge Corridor in Hosur is set to transform the city into a global hub for IT and research.

The TIDEL Park, covering 500,000 square feet with a ₹400 crore investment, is expected to create around 6,600 jobs.

Complementing this, the Knowledge Corridor will provide world-class infrastructure for Global Capability Centres and R&D centres, fostering innovation, skill development, and advanced technology adoption.

8. Panattoni Industrial and Logistics Park, Hosur

Panattoni is developing Panattoni Park Hosur I, a 25-acre Grade-A industrial and logistics hub in Tamil Nadu with an investment of ₹210 crore. Phase 1 will deliver around 550,000 sq ft of space by the second quarter of 2026, forming part of a total plan of about 1.1 million sq ft.

9. Festo’s ₹500 Crore Facility in Hosur

German automation leader Festo has inaugurated a new ₹500 crore manufacturing plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu Spanning 75 acres, the facility will produce advanced pneumatic automation components for both domestic and international markets.

It is expected to create over 1,000 direct and indirect jobs in its initial phase

10. Schneider Electric Industrial Park

Schneider Electric is set to inaugurate the first phase of its 500,000 sq ft manufacturing facility at Horizon Industrial Park in Hosur by January 2026. Strategically located along the Bengaluru-Chennai National Highway, the plant aims to become a pivotal hub for the company's battery management systems

Hosur Ranks 13th Globally in Fastest Population Growth

Hosur has earned a striking global demographic distinction: it ranks 13th in the world among cities experiencing the fastest population growth, with an annual rate of about 5.38 percent. It stands out as the only Indian city in that top-20 list.

With the metro, expressway, and industrial corridor converging here, Hosur is steadily shedding its identity as a satellite town and stepping into the spotlight as a standalone growth city.
Just like Oragdam, Coimbatore, Chennai, Madurai, Sriperumbudur etc, soon Hosur too will stand tall in the annals of Tamil Nadu's industrial might
