Have you ever heard of "Meebhoomi" - Andhra Pradesh Land Records?

Indian Government has implemented digitization all over the country to avoid mishaps and misuse of any major assets. The digitalization of land records was carried out in India by launching a program called DILRMP (Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme) in August 2008.

The main aim of DILRMP is to have a system revised and organized of updated land records that have integration between spatial and textual records.

The DILRMP includes 3 major sections, that is (i) Computerization of land record (ii) Survey/re-survey (iii) Computerization of Registration.

The major objective of the DILRMP is to lower the land and property dispute and to encourage transparency with the land records or any information related to it.

Registered land records or property title documents must be provided by the government of India as evidence of ownership to support the real estate industry through the completion of projects and faster transactions.

What is Meebhoomi?

Meebhoomi translates to "Your Land", it is the digital land record registry initiated by the government of Andhra Pradesh in the year 2005. It was started by the Revenue Department.

Any information about ownership details and any information about a particular property can be easily accessed by people. The Meebhoomi portal offers the public the information of:

  • Andhra Pradesh land records

  • Water source

  • Soil type

  • Crop details

  • Landowner details

  • Liabilities

  • Tenancy

The land information and Record of Rights (ROR) can be downloaded by the landowners from the Meebhoomi portal, these documents are also known as 1- B or Adangal.

Meebhoomi Adangal

Adangal is also termed 'Village Count Number 3', it is a document maintained by the village administrators. the documents have a detailed record of the land, soil type, the crops grown, liabilities, nature, and many other factors.

Viewing and downloading the Meebhoomi Adangal on the website:

  • You need to visit the Meebhoomi website and click on the 'Adangal' option.

  • Under the Adangal option you have two sub-options, 'Your Adangal' or 'Village Adangal', choose according to your requirements.

  • It will direct you to a page where you will have to fill in a few details regarding the land and yourself. After entering the details, click on the "Click" option.

  • If you have completed the process correctly, your document will be downloaded.

  • In case of any errors, you can contact the particular area's Tashshildar Office.

Meebhoomi - Record of right 1B Adangal

In Meebhoomi, the Andhra Pradesh Land Records, 1B Adangal document is also known as the ROR or Right of Record. An extricated land record is held and maintained by the Revenue Department of Andhra Pradesh.

Before the digitization of property records, a register was maintained by the Tahsildar to list the land and its owners. The 1B Adangal document can be used in obtaining bank loans or in court proceedings.

1B land records is the land document used typically in the Indian state of Telangana. The 1B land records mostly contain information about the land's current use, area measurement, land classification, land type as well and land ownership. You can get these records by either visiting the Meebhoomi Portal for Andhra Pradesh or you can also download the 1B Adangal app from the Play Store of Apple store.

  • By clicking the "Mutation Information by Dategaum" the 1B Adangal data mutation records can be accessed. The option is on the right side of the portal page.

You can link and verify if your mobile number, Aadhar card, or other identity documents are linked to your land records.

  • On the directed page enter the required details and after entering them click on the option 'get details.'

  • The documents that you upload have to be in a PDF format and the images have to be in a JPEG format.

  • You can also monitor the status of Aadhar and other identities by choosing the "Aadhar and other identities status" under the Aadhar and other identities option.

Meebhoomi - How to acquire an electronic passbook in Andhra Pradesh?

Landowners can have access to the E-passbook by using the Meebhoomi portal and have an approach to the passbook easily.

  • Visit the official website of Meebhoomi and click on the option "Electronic Passbook."

  • It will direct you to a page where you will have to fill in a few details regarding the land and yourself. After entering the details, click on the "Click" option.

  • On completing this process you will have access to an electronic passbook.
