Well, we can't tell you that but, let's take a break from all the disheartening news around and return to a little ray of hope.

Read ahead, the tales of two special Covid-19 survivors from India.

110 year old Ramananda Theertha from Hyderabad and Bangalore's very own H S Doreswamy who's 103!

Ramananda Theertha

Ramananda Theertha, 110 year old man from Hyderabad, was admitted to a Government-run Hospital on 24th April 2021 after showing moderate Covid-19 symptoms.

Ramananda Theertha is serving as a priest and stays at an Ashram near Keesara, Andhra Pradesh. Being at his hundreds, everyone expected the worse would strike the elderly priest.

However, the veteran, beating all odds, turned Covid Negative and is now easily recovering at Gandhi Hospital, and became India's oldest COVID survivor!

The doctors attribute his recovery as a testament to his willpower and minimalistic lifestyle. Now he has turned into an overnight sensation. His innocent smile has taken the nation by storm and became something for each of us to look upto!

HS Doreswamy

HS Doreswamy, on the other hand, is a noted figure amongst Bangaloreans. The 103 year old Gandhian was well known for his participation in Vinoba Bhave's Bhoodan movement and Quit India Movement.

Post-independence, he was also an active catalyst for the various campaign to revive lakes in the Silicon Valley of India.

The centenarian was admitted due to COVID-19 related complexities and admitted in May 2021 at Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bangalore. But to everyone's surprise, he turned negative in a couple of days, beating every odds.

And recently, he was discharged from the healthcare centre.

Now, when the elderly, mostly above 45, has a higher chance to be infected with Covid-19 and most of our country's death toll, at least 80% are in the same age bracket. It's truly a miracle, no feat of willpower and mindfulness that led these veterans back to normal life.

And may their stories bring us all the sense of hope and relief we all await.

Take care, folks and stay strong!
