Kuakhai River is one of the major highlights of Hanspal. The Kuakhai River is a tributary of the Mahanadi River, which runs through Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The Mahanadi River splits in Naraj, Cuttack, as the Kathajodi River and then splits again, with the southern branch flowing as the Kuakhai River. The river is the main landmark for the locals as the famous Chhath puja is celebrated on the bank of the Kuakhai river. Chhath puja, an important holiday in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Jharkhand, was honored with enthusiasm and excitement in the city after a two-year hiatus. The festival started on October 28 and will end on October 31.
