There are more than 1000 species of plants and trees in this botanical garden. Flower shows are conducted twice a year, on 26th January (Republic day) and 15th August (Independence day). There is one more well-known botanical garden in Bangalore called Cubbon Park besides Lalbagh.

Lalbagh has two entry gates which connects two primary locations siddapura circle and Jayanagar. Lalbagh rock is an unique architecture dating over 3000 million years. Lalbagh is very prominent in the city connecting to several areas.

There are many gardens in Lalbagh which includes Rose garden, Bonsai Garden, Lotus Garden, Topiary garden. There is a huge lake in this botanical garden with water fountains and boating. There is an artificial water falls inside the vicinity which was laid in 2017.

Entry fee for this botanical garden is very cheap. It’s Rs.25 for entrance and camera is allowed with extra 60 Rupees. It will take a one whole day for a normal person to cover entire Lalbagh garden. For children, elder people and for familes , site seeing vehicles are provided inside the botanical garden.

Kempegowda tower is located at the botanical garden which was constructed more than 100 years back. View from Kempegowda tower is very beautiful. We can view entire Lalbagh garden from this tower.

Lalbagh botanical garden is filled with lush green plants and tree all around the vicinity. One can get peace of mind, with abundant fresh air and oxygen here in Lalbagh. Evening view of the lake is stunning with sunset.

There is Japanese decorative monument in this gardedn to attract tourists. Lalbagh si well maintained with several staff. They make sure proper water supply is provided to the plants and trees during summer season.
